Edge Computing in Substations

Digitization and the incorporation of intelligence into legacy systems is one of the main challenges facing the electricity sector.  Discover how Cuerva, with Barbara Edge Platform has managed to:

  1. Implement multi-author applications in their facilities.
  2. Process real-time data from line cells and fault passage detectors.
  3. Optimize maintenance operations with early detection of anomalous behavior.

This project has also received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant No. 827313, as well as from the CDTI (Centro de Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial de España), the Hazitek program of the Government of the Basque Country and the Ports 4.0 Fund of Puertos del Estado. Barbara has participated in the ICEX-Next export initiation program and has received support from ICEX and co-financing from European ERDF funds. The purpose of this support is to contribute to the international development of the company and its environment.
