As a Junior QA Engineer, you will be part of the team led by our VP of Product and will participate in the verification and validation of our software.
Among your responsibilities and main tasks are:
Manage the QA process for all our products
Develop test plans, create test cases and execute test cycles to ensure the quality of our Cloud and Edge platforms
Collaborate with the development and product team to define and enforce quality standards, and provide feedback on design and implementation decisions
Develop and maintain automated tests
Identify and document defects, report them appropriately to the product team, and work proactively with the development team to ensure they are resolved in a timely and effective manner
Maintain our continuous integration lab and infrastructure
Develop and apply control metrics to measure the effectiveness of the quality process and use the data to continuously improve this process.
Experience and expertise required:
At least 1 year experience in QA of software systems
Experience with automated testing tools such as Cypress, Cucumber or Tavern
Experience using REST APIs
Familiar with the concept of continuous integration
Use of defect reporting tools, e.g. Jira
Desirable skills:
Knowledge of a programming language, e.g. Python, Javascript or Golang
Knowledge of databases and MQTT brokers
Prototyping of systems with boards such as Raspberry or Arduino
Basic knowledge of sensors
Knowledge of computer cybersecurity
Good level of English
